Ship management boss Jesper Kristensen is urging the industry to seize its chance to forge ahead on decarbonisation this week. The CEO of Singapore’s Synergy Marine Group said shipping “stands at a defining moment” as national representatives descend on London for climate talks at the International Maritime Organization. He believes flexibility is needed from legislators.

In his first interview since taking over as Group CEO, Jesper Kristensen told ShippingWatch that Synergy will look to expand west of Suez while doubling down on safety, customer focus, and seafarer welfare.
